Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) – bringing together curriculum, examinations and assessment, advising government, monitoring standards and awarding qualifications.
Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) – the national body in Scotland responsible for the development, accreditation, assessment and certification of qualifications other than degrees.
Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) acts as a single voice and a focal point for all the major awarding bodies, helping them to create common standards, regulations and guidance and assisting them to regulate themselves.
