AAIA have produced a guide entitled Recording and Tracking Pupils' attainments and progress - the use of assessment evidence at the time of inspections. It has been prepared to support schools in deciding how they should record and track pupil progress and how they can use this information to provide evidence of attainment and progress at the time of inspections.

The DCSF Standards site provides details of the Assessing Pupils' Progress in English Handbook for Key Stage 3 English.

Assessing Pupils’ Progress for reading, writing and mathematics at Key Stage 2 is on the National Strategies Primary Framework for Literacy and Mathematics website
