AAIA’s 29th Annual Conference Programme 2018

PPTs from all keynote speakers as well as officers’ reports from the AGM are available in the members’ area.

Delegates were welcomed to the conference by Ben Fuller, AAIA Honorary President.

The first keynote speaker was Dr Ruth Dann, Associate Professor of Education, Institute of Education, University College London speaking about Feedback for learning: latest research.

Ruth’s was followed by Matthew Purves, Deputy Director for Schools, Ofsted sharing thinking about Inspection and assessment and Jim Magee, Head of Assessment Policy, Standards and Testing Agency providing a Primary Assessment Update.

The second day of the conference (open to non-members) featured Mike Fleetham and Jon Le Fevre talking about The Challenge 10 Toolkit, Assessing for Children and its implementation in schools.

For the final morning, delegates had the opportunity to discuss implications arising from the conference.  This was followed by the final keynote SEND Assessment & Progress delivered by Mary Rayner.
